About Us

Guatemala Luxury Vacation Rentals (GLVR) is a boutique Guatemalan company dedicated to providing comprehensive services for travelers in search of a unique, high-end, short-term rental property and wide array of services to ensure a seamless customer service experience from the moment you being your search, to planning activities and extra services to concierge assistance during your stay (to arrange: private ground transportation, transfers in helicopter, private cooks, excursions, water sports, cooking classes and more…).

1. Contact GLVR

Contact GLVR online or by phone to indicate which property you would like to rent

2. Choosing a Rental Property

Upon verifying that the property you are interested in is available, you will be sent a rental contract outlining the details of your rental (to be printed, signed and returned online).

3. Confirming your Reservation

In order to confirm your reservation, a $500 down payment is required. This deposit will be applied towards the total amount due and is fully refundable up until one month prior to your scheduled arrival date, or two months prior to your scheduled arrival date during peak seasons (i.e., the week preceding Easter and from December 15-31). The pending amount will be due one week prior to your arrival date, along with a damage deposit (which will be refunded within 48 hours of your departure, provided that the property is returned in the same condition as it was found upon arrival). Both the initial $500 deposit as well as the pending amount due can be paid via credit card or via direct deposit to our Guatemalan bank account. NOTE: in the event that the total amount due is less than $500, the entire amount will be required in order to confirm your reservation.

4. Check-In Process & Customer Service during your stay.. (prior to and after check-in)

One of the GLVR staff will be in contact with you to provide any assistance you may require prior to and during your stay. Our staff will be happy to arrange your ground transportation, stock the kitchen of your rental villa with any grocery items or beverages you might like to have in place upon your arrival. Our staff will meet you upon your arrival to get you checked into your rental villa and will meet you at the time of departure.

5. Check-Out Process

You will be given an itemized bill one day prior to your check-out which will detail any pending incidental charges (private cook, massage therapist, lake tours, etc.). These charges can be paid at the time of checkout via credit card or in cash.

Payment Methods

Credit/Debit Card

We use a company called Deposit Guard (www.depositguard.com) to process payments via credit and debit card (VISA & MasterCard). Please note that there is a 3% processing fee for payments made via credit/debit card. One of our staff will send payment instructions should you wish to use this method.

Bank Deposit

The initial deposit to secure your reservation and the pending payment can be made via direct deposit (or wire transfer) to our account at Banco G&T Contiental.
